Architects of the Future

Organisations are systemically creative, driven by deliberate design coupled with continual experimentation, empowerment and engagement. A successful leader is one who recognises these capacities personally and is able to develop them within a team.

The Architects of the Future programme introduces participants to the thinking behind management innovation, design thinking and creativity via theoretical frameworks and tools and techniques that can be incorporated into every day operations in the work place.

Architects of the Future is a one day senior executive programme that

  • introduces the concept of a management innovation lead organisation
  • demonstrates how a management innovation led organisation operates differently from a traditional hierarchical organisation
  • explores the differences between how leaders, managers and employees engage in this context
  • shows how emergent thinking can be applied in traditional hierarchical organisations
  • examines the use of management innovation in strategy
  • explores on-line social networks as organisational change architecture with the potential for commercialisation

This programme is ideal for turning managers into creative leaders and Architects of the Future!!

Gary Hamel on Management Innovation

The Programme Learning Methodology.

The Creative Leadership Forum model for their senior executive programmes (COL:LAB) is based on the exploration of practice as its first principle and on peer to peer learning and collaboration as its second principle.

It uses action learning methodologies which allows the Creative Leadership Forum to tailor content and delivery to the participants and their desired learning objectives.

In order to deliver against these principles, participants are asked prior to commencement of the programme

  • - to complete a Management Innovation Index survey within their organisation
  • - agree to read a series of short articles and background literature pre-programme
  • - bring a management innovation challenge in their organisation they would be prepared to share with their peers.

The Creative Leadership Forum programmes operate under Chatham House Rules at all times

Ralph Kerle is a globally respected programme designer, consultant and writer on leadership, creativity and innovation. He is Founder and Executive Chairman of The Creative Leadership Forum, a global network of over 15,000 senior executives from every spectrum of industry, academia and government working with members to develop and share knowledge, insights and practices in creative leadership and management innovation.

His research ‘Is Australian Management Creative and Innovative?’ which involved over 30,000 Australians, was launched in November 2008 at the annual general meeting of The Australian Services Roundtable, Australia's leading think tank on services innovation. The research has been widely acclaimed and resourced, including specific requests from the Federal Minister for Science, Innovation and Technology, Senator Kim Carr.

Over the last 8 months Ralph and Dr Ed Halteman Phd – Principle SurveyDNA (USA) have developed The Creative Leadership Index (CLI). The first of its kind in the world, the CLI provides a snapshot of an organisation's existing management innovation capabilities from three perspectives - the cultural, the environmental and its inherent management practices and benchmarks these perspectives against individual employees' perceptions of the organisation and how it operates. The resulting data is being used to develop a global benchmark for creative leadership and management innovation

In 1992, Ralph founded Eventures Australia Pty. Ltd and over 14 years built it into one of Australia's leading event design and production companies. As Creative Director, Ralph worked for such Fortune 500 companies as Caltex, Fosters, Dairy Farmers, Foxtel, General Motors, Hewlett Packard, Kraft Foods, Nestle, Rolls Royce, Peugeot, Toyota, Telstra, Walt Disney, and Yellow Pages.
